Watch: Son Of Carmelo Anthony Makes College Debut For Syracuse

Kiyan Anthony, the son of former NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony, made his college basketball debut on Saturday playing for the Syracuse Orange in an exhibition against Buffalo.

Kiyan put together an efficient outing, dropping 10 points on 4-of-7 from the field.

The 18-year-old Anthony committed to Syracuse last November amid recruitment from various other programs, including Michigan, Florida State, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Memphis, Tennessee, and Seton Hall.

A 6-foot-5 shooting guard, Anthony was ranked the No. 36 overall recruit in the high school Class of 2025 by ESPN, and No. 32 overall by 247Sports.

Meanwhile, Carmelo was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September, as both an NBA legend and a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic team.

Melo’s most iconic career contribution may still be his one year at Syracuse, where he carried his team to a national championship in 2003 as a freshman.
