Celtics Player Praises Jaylen Brown’s Leadership Skills As Season Approaches
Boston Celtics star guard Jaylen Brown will take on many new responsibilities this season, but he already seems to understand how to be an effective leader.
Brown has shown exceptional leadership skills, as noted by guard Baylor Scheierman, who highlighted Brown’s impressive ability to lead the team, even with Jayson Tatum on the court.
“Brown has always been a leader for us,” Scheierman said Monday, via WEEI’s Justin Turpin. “Even when Tatum was healthy. He’s definitely taking that load on even more. He’s super motivated as always, and you can definitely tell by the way he’s approaching the offseason.”
Scheierman isn’t the only one praising Brown’s leadership skills this offseason. Paul Pierce spoke highly of Brown’s voice in the locker room.
“I’ve always looked at Jaylen as an important voice there,” Pierce said Sept. 15, via Heavy Sports. “When they’re in practice and in the locker room, from what I’m seeing, Jaylen just, personality-wise, is a more vocal person than Jayson.”
If Scheierman and Pierce recognize Brown’s outstanding leadership, despite having little to no experience with him, it’s evident that the Celtics are in great hands this season.
