Bowden, Jefferies and Taylor appointed Women’s captains

Royal Wootton Bassett Town manager James Lally has appointed three captains for the 2025-26 Women's First Team season. Bassett's on pitch leadership team will comprise of defenders Alice Bowden and Laura Jefferies and forward Tori Taylor. All three are highly experienced players whose attitude and leadership will be key for Bassett this season. Bassett's longest serving player, Jefferies is a role model for those around her and a player who leads by example on and off the pitch. Bowden is entering her first full season with Bassett having signed part way through the 2024-25 campaign. Formerly captain of Swindon Town, she boasts significant higher level experience and has made a strong impression on the squad since signing. Taylor, meanwhile, is a summer signing from Forest Green Rovers and another player who has featured at a higher level for a long time for Swindon Town.
