‘Majestic’ Pulisic performance in Udinese 0-3 Milan
Pulisic had returned to the starting XI after making substitute appearances against Lecce and Bologna and was subbed off at minute 63 last night.
Pulisic was the undisputed MOTM in Udine and was rated 9.5/10 by Football Italia.
The most prominent Italian media obviously agreed that Pulisic was the best player on the pitch and rated the ex-Chelsea star 8/10.
MilanNews also noted that Pulisic apologised to his teammate Santiago Gimenez after being subbed off in the second half.
Why Pulisic apologised to Gimenez in Udinese vs. Milan
“A majestic, complete performance that literally crashed Udinese’s system. Pulisic proved himself a true champion and a real man when, after being substituted, he went to console Santiago Gimenez, apologising for the misplaced pass in their last action together,” wrote the Milan website.
“Literally unstoppable. He’s always the one scoring. Back in the starting XI, he netted the opener that unlocked the match and then completed his brace. A nightmare for Udinese’s defence,” wrote Gazzetta.
Corriere dello Sport said: “Back as a starter and an absolute protagonist of the match. Two goals, one assist, and the opponents were almost always forced to stop him with fouls. Captain America.”
Pulisic has scored four goals and provided one assist in five appearances across all competitions this season.
He was the best Milan goal-scorer last term as he netted 17 times in 50 matches across all competitions.
