Nottingham Forest appoint Ange Postecoglou as new Manager

0 6

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach on a two-year deal, following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this week.

The Australian manager, who enjoyed a successful stint at Tottenham Hotspur before his sacking just three months ago, returns to the Premier League eager to make an impact at the City Ground. Despite his dismissal from Spurs, Postecoglou left on a high note, having guided the North London club to Europa League glory last season.

Forest’s decision to part ways with Nuno came after a reported breakdown in his relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis. Nuno, who is understood to have wanted to leave, now makes way for a coach long admired by Marinakis. Postecoglou’s Greek heritage and his reputation for delivering trophies played a key role in his swift appointment.

The 58-year-old will be officially unveiled on Thursday afternoon, as Forest look to stabilise their season under his leadership. Supporters will be keen to see if Postecoglou can replicate his attacking brand of football and winning mentality, which has brought him success in both domestic and European competitions.
