Inter sound out Bayern Munich defensive pair – report
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have sounded out Bayern Munich centre-backs Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano as the Nerazzurri are still looking for defensive reinforcement this summer.
Bayern Munich defenders Kim and Upamecano are on Inter’s shopping list and the Serie A giants have sounded out the availability of both centre-backs, according to Gazzetta.
Inter target Kim and Upamecano
The Nerazzurri may add a new centre-back to their squad regardless of Benjamin Pavard’s potential departure in the final week of the summer transfer window.
Galatasaray and Saudi side Neom remain interested in the France international, while Lille President Olivier Létang has openly admitted that the French club can’t afford the Inter star.
Inter’s strategy if Pavard stays
Pavard also joined Inter from Bayern Munich in 2023, winning the Serie A title in his first season at San Siro.
According to the report, however, if Pavard stays, the Nerazzurri would prefer Upamecano over Kim given that the Frenchman’s contract expires in June 2026, which makes him cheaper than the ex-Napoli star.
Inter will make their 2025-26 Serie A debut tomorrow, at home against Torino.
