Adams On 150th Appearance & Champions League Ties

Eilidh Adams is now "looking forward" to Champions League action after netting twice on her 150th Hibernian appearance on Friday night!

The forward, who has incredibly reached the 150 landmark at just 21 years of age, was introduced off the bench at Petershill Park as she continues to return to full fitness after picking up an injury at the tail end of last season.

A quick-fire double late on against Partick Thistle to secure a sensational 5-0 away victory was the perfect way to make that milestone appearance an even greater memory to look back on. 

"During the off-season and pre-season I've been dealing with my injury that I was carrying at the end of last season," Adams told Hibs TV. 

"I got some minutes last weekend, but yeah, to get those goals is really good for me.

"[To score twice on my] 150th appearance for the club that I support and I love, it feels pretty good.

"It feels weird as well because I still feel quite young, but I've obviously been here for quite a few years and I love it. To come off the bench and help the team, it feels good."

Attention now turns to the UEFA Women's Champions League for the Hibees, as the girls fly out to Cyprus for their second qualfying round fixtures.

First up is Danish champions Fortuna Hjørring, who Hibs will take on this Wednesday (27 August) at 7:30pm UK time.

"It's the absolute top level, isn't it? I'm really looking forward to it," Adams commented.

"For me, it's obviously my first time and I know a lot of the other girls are the same, so for us, we're really looking forward to the challenge.

"We fly out to Cyprus, and we kind of used to the heat from Florida, so that's a good thing. But we'll look at the opposition and see how we can affect the game.

"We'll all be looking forward to it. It's experiences that you don't take for granted.

"It'll be a completely new challenge, different country, different style of play, so we'll do our analysis and we'll be ready to go."
