Verona lose Suslov for 6 months with serious knee injury
Hellas Verona will be without Slovakia international Tomas Suslov for around six months after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
A statement from the club confirmed that he sustained the injury during yesterday’s training session.
He was diagnosed with a trauma to the left knee, that ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament.
Suslov will have surgery over the next few days and only then will a better idea be given of the recovery time, but this sort of injury tends to require six months on the touchline.
Verona will miss Suslov this season
It is a heavy blow for Verona, as he was a regular in the middle of the pitch for them over the last two seasons, scoring four goals with six assists.
The creative midfielder was first signed from FC Groningen on loan in 2023, then purchased a year later for €1m.
Suslov has 38 senior caps for Slovakia, where he scored four goals.
