Amorim wants 31yo Man Utd star to get 'respect' and 'love' after what he did this summer

Manchester United club captain Bruno Fernandes was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia Pro League earlier this summer.

Saudi powerhouse Al-Hilal made astronomical offers to Fernandes and were ready to pay around £80 million to the Red Devils.

According to The Athletic, manager Ruben Amorim have told the United staff that Fernandes deserves ‘respect’ and ‘love’ for turning down big-money moves from the Middle East.

Fernandes could have earned much more money in Saudi Arabia but he showcased loyalty and leadership in its purest form.

He is creative machine and his numbers could have been even higher had United’s overall performances matched his own standards.

The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko this summer.

Cunha and Mbeumo are proven Premier League attackers while Sesko has a very high ceiling.

With Fernandes pulling the strings behind this new-look front line, United’s long-standing attacking woes may finally have a solution.

The new season will also be a challenge for Fernandes as Amorim is likely to deploy him in central of the park.
