Man Utd frontrunners to sign £43m star after major update on Tuesday morning

The Red Devils have made four signings so far and there could be more arrivals in the coming days.
A shot-stopper could be prioritised due to Andre Onana’s inconsistency over the past two seasons.
United have now been handed a major boost with Chelsea not pursuing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain star Gianluigi Donnarumma.
United and Chelsea were reportedly in ‘pole position‘ to land the 26-year-old, but Fabrizio Romano says that the Blues are not in ‘active talks’.
The west London outfit are happy with the current crop of keepers in the squad.
United could have free run at signing Donnarumma
Donnarumma has entered the last year of his contract at Les Parisiens, and he is poised to leave with the club having signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille to replace him.
The European champions have left him out of the UEFA Super Cup squad against Tottenham Hotspur, which is a clear indication that he can move on this summer.
The Premier League has been highlighted as his likely destination. United now have a free run at signing him with the Blues out of contention for the Italy international.
Still, a deal won’t be easy to conclude. PSG reportedly value their goalkeeper between £35 million and £43m, and may not provide a discount on their current price.
The onus will be on United to recoup funds to secure his signature. The club are in advanced talks with Chelsea for Alejandro Garnacho and could secure £40m-50m.
There is also the possibility of Rasmus Hojlund leaving on a loan or permanent deal, while Andre Onana may have to be offloaded for Donnarumma to make the switch.
Onana has been the first-choice keeper for the last two seasons, but may prefer a new challenge away from Old Trafford instead of playing second fiddle next term.
Hence, a deal for Donnarumma could go down to the wire. If United can agree on personal terms with him, they can afford to delay their pursuit to recoup funds first.
