Transfer: Marvin Ekpiteta Joins MK Dons
We can confirm that Marvin Ekpiteta has joined English League Two side MK Dons on a permanent transfer.
The terms of the 29-year-old’s transfer will remain undisclosed.
Ekpiteta joined Hibs on a free transfer in the summer of 2024 and went on to make 17 appearances in all competitions. The centre-half was a regular for David Gray going into the September international break, but his game-time became limited after an injury.
On Ekpiteta’s depature, Hibernian FC Head Coach David Gray commented: “I’d like to thank Marv for his positive attitude and efforts during his time with us. He has been a pleasure to work with every day, and we wish him all the best for the future.
“Unfortunately, he’s found it hard to break back into the team over the last nine months, and he has a real desire to play football regularly, so this transfer works for everyone involved.”
Hibernian FC Sporting Director Malky Mackay added: “Marvin has a lot of positive attributes, which is why there’s been a lot of interest in him from teams in England.
“At his age, he wants to play football regularly, and we completely understood that. He’s a good person, and we wish him nothing but the best in his career.”
