Report: Manchester United join race for Fiorentina youngster Sanogo
Manchester United are the latest club to be linked with a move for Fiorentina youngster Bassidy Sanogo, reports from Africa claim, as the 17-year-old attracts interest from clubs across Europe.
According to what has been reported by FootAfrica, the Red Devils are monitoring the Primavera starlet, whilst Stuttgart, Hoffenheim and Club Brugge also scout the forward.
The Mali youngster plays as a typical centre-forward, with eight goal involvements in 18 Under-18 matches for the Viola last season.
After Diallo success, Manchester United weigh up another young African Serie A starlet
In October 2020, Manchester United agreed a deal with Atalanta to sign then-18-year-old youngster Amad Diallo. The Ivorian now has 64 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions after two loan spells with Rangers and Sunderland.
United may use Diallo as a blueprint in their pursuit of another young African starlet in Sanogo. The Malian’s contract with the Viola expires in 2027.
