Jashari set for Milan medical tests in 24-48 hours
Ardon Jashari is expected in Italy tonight for a Milan medical over the next 24-48 hours after a deal was agreed with Club Brugge for a reported €34m plus add-ons, with significant tweaks to the format.
The big breakthrough was reported yesterday evening and things progressed rapidly from there, with the Rossoneri agreeing to raise the fixed part of the fee compared to the add-ons.
That means the ultimate cost of the operation remains circa €38m, but that the structure of the fee is changed.
How Milan got the Jashari deal done
According to Calciomercato.com, that means €34m fixed, plus €4m in add-ons, with payment spread out over four years rather than five.
Jashari had signed off on the personal terms weeks ago, a five-year contract worth €2.5m per season and rising.
The player was crucial in getting this over the line by demanding a transfer to Milan, who he had supported since a childhood trip to San Siro, and rejecting more lucrative proposals from the likes of Neom.
Now Club Brugge are releasing him to fly out and undergo the medical tests, so he is expected to arrive on Italian soil as early as this evening, undergoing the tests on Wednesday.
