Scouting Liverpool U18s: Five standout talents to watch in 2025
The Liverpool academy have churned out several talents, including Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and most recently Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones.
Read on as we look at the best U18 players at the academy.
Rio Ngumoha
The England youth international is arguably the most exciting teenager in Liverpool’s ranks.
He made his professional debut in a FA Cup clash against Accrington Stanley in January to become the youngest player to feature for the club in the competition.
Ngumoha is a right-footed winger who is skilful and creative. He has started all but one pre-season game for the first team this summer, scoring two goals.
Lenix Conde
The 15-year-old right-back is one of Liverpool’s new scholars. His talent has been described as ‘astonishing’.
Conde is quick and ‘thrives in one-on-one situations both going forward and defensively’, making him the complete package.
Cameron Williams
The Scottish full-back is one of the club’s new scholars and featured 11 times in the U18 Premier League last term.
His aggressive attacking style makes him a standout talent, which has also been recognised at the international level.
Williams plays for the Scotland U17s and was invited to train with the senior squad in March.
Erik Farkas
The 15-year-old midfielder is among the most exciting talents in the Reds’ academy. The Hungarian can play anywhere across the midfield.
He has drawn comparisons with veteran midfielder Luka Modric due to his ‘vision and control’.
Farkas has played for the U15s and U16s and has been promoted to the U18s for pre-season, but may not feature for them next term.
Joe Bradshaw
The 17-year-old was the academy’s top scorer last season and can be considered the best finisher across the youth teams. He is also tenacious with his pressing and relatively quick.
He joined Liverpool from Accrington Stanley and has now signed his professional contract.
