Celtics End Summer League On High Note With Huge Win Over Rival

The Boston Celtics wrapped up their NBA Summer League schedule on a high note with a 101-80 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

The Celtics crushed the previously undefeated Hawks in their NBA 2K26 Summer League finale at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Sunday. Boston led comfortably for most of the afternoon, winning the first quarter 27-20 and taking a 48-39 lead into halftime before pulling away in the third quarter.

Four Celtics scored in double figures, led by Isaiah Wong’s game-high 18 points in 21 minutes. He also chipped in six assists and finished with a game-high +28 plus-minus rating when he was on the floor for Boston.

After the game, Wong told Celtics reporter Bobby Krivitsky that he “felt real good about this Summer League” after ending it with such a strong performance.

Wong did a good job of spreading the ball around and knocking down shots, going 6-for-11 from the floor (including 3-for-7 from downtown). Jalen Bridges splashed four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, while Benjamin Gregg threatened a double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds.

First-round pick Hugo González struggled with his shot, going just 2-for-8 from the floor (including 1-for-7 from behind the arc) en route to eight points.

Boston won handily despite sitting Baylor Scheierman and Jordan Walsh, opting to give its rookies and more unproven players a longer look.

Kobe Johnson led the Hawks with 14 points, followed closely by Adam Flagler’s 13 points. Nelly Junior Joseph just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Both teams finished Summer League with 4-1 records, capping a successful month for their young recruits. Sunday marked their last game action before training camp starts in the fall, so it was good to see Wong and others make the most of it.
