Milan make first Estupinan bid, consider new Pobega offer
Italian reports suggest Milan’s first offer to Brighton and Hove Albion for Pervis Estupiñán is for €14m plus add-ons, while Bologna increase their Tommaso Pobega bid.
The Ecuador international has emerged over the last 24 hours as a primary transfer target for the left-back role, left open by the sale of Theo Hernandez to Al-Hilal.
It had already been reported that the Rossoneri had started formal negotiations today.
First Estupiñán offer not going to be enough
According to Calciomercato.com’s Milan transfer expert Daniele Longo, the first offer on the table is €14m plus bonuses, which is certainly not going to satisfy Brighton.
The 27-year-old is under contract until June 2027 and was purchased from Villarreal in 2022 for €17.8m, with his value only increasing on the market since then.
Last season, Estupiñán scored one goal and provided one assist in his 36 competitive appearances for Brighton and Hove Albion.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com also suggest that Milan received a proposal from Bologna to sign Pobega, who was already at the Stadio Dall’Ara on loan last season.
This would be a paid loan for €1m with option to buy that becomes an obligation if some very basic conditions are met for a further €7m.
