Calhanoglu set to resume Inter training after dispute with Lautaro Martinez
Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to resume training with Inter next week as the club is confident disagreements with Lautaro Martinez have been overcome.
Inter are confident Calhanoglu will remain at San Siro for the 2025-26 season despite a recent dispute with captain Lautaro Martinez and interest from Galatasaray.
Calhanoglu set to resume Inter training
Gazzetta confirms that the Turkish giants have not sent a formal offer to sign the 31-year-old midfielder, who is expected to resume training at Inter’s training ground on Tuesday next week, four days before the rest of the team.
Inter will formally start the 2025-26 pre-season on Saturday, July 26, while Calha is expected to return to Appiano on July 22.
No Galatasaray offer for Calhanoglu
Gazzetta reports that Galatasaray’s current priority is to sign Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal from Napoli. Therefore, the Turkish giants didn’t make a step forward in negotiations for Calhanoglu, even when vice president Abdullah Kavukçuha met with Inter director Piero Ausilio last week.
Inter President Beppe Marotta reiterated on Tuesday that Calhanoglu was still part of Inter’s plans for the new season.
“He is our player in every way, and he is called up for pre-season,” Marotta said.
