Agents of ‘special’ forward reject offers to ‘broker a transfer away’ from Man United

Forward Alejandro Garnacho is among the five stars who want to leave Manchester United this summer.

He has struggled under manager Ruben Amorim and could lose his place in the starting line-up next term with the arrival of Matheus Cunha and the potential signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

United have allowed him to return to Carrington for pre-season training, but he is not expected to be among the squad for the US pre-season tour.

Despite his determination to leave United, his representatives, Leaders, led by Carlos Cambeiro and Enrique de Lucas, have rejected offers to ‘broker a transfer away’ from Old Trafford, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Pini Zahavi’s Gol International agency have contacted Garnacho’s representatives, but they are intent on facilitating a move without any assistance.

Zahavi’s proposal could be linked with Chelsea’s interest in the Argentina international. The Israeli football agent has a good relationship with the Club World Cup winners and represents Christopher Nkunku.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will intensify their interest in his services after England international Noni Madueke completes his transfer to Arsenal.

It is not unusual for high-profile agents to become involved in facilitating the transfer of players owned by another agency.

Super agent Jorge Mendes reportedly helped AS1 engineer Bruno Fernandes’ move to Man United from Sporting CP in January 2020.

Garnacho’s representatives are now solely responsible for helping the right-footed winger leave United.

Described as ‘special‘ by Fernandes, the 21-year-old wants to stay in the Premier League. He recently rejected the opportunity to join Saudi Pro-League (SPL) side Al Nassr.

United value him at £60 million, but they may have to reduce his valuation for him to leave. The sale of the Argentine will count as ‘pure profit’ for the club, as an academy graduate.
