Report: Thomas Frank has told Tottenham to sign “top level” player who is a dream target

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from GMS, Thomas Frank has urged the London outfit to sign the 21-year-old England International. 

The report claims that Wharton is a dream target for Tottenham, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done. He is undoubtedly one of the best young players in the Premier League right now. He has been described as a “top level” performer by his England teammate Declan Rice. 

Adam Wharton is a target for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona as well.

Spurs need midfield cover

Tottenham need more defensive cover and control in the middle of the park. They are expected to cash in on Yves Bissouma this summer. Wharton could be the ideal long-term replacement for the African. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well at the highest level. 

Joining Spurs would allow him to showcase his qualities in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. 

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward with an offer to get the deal done. They have the resources to pay a substantial amount of money for him. Wharton could cost around £80 million.

Tottenham move could be ideal for Adam Wharton

Wharton is a promising young talent with a bright future. He must look to join a club where he will play regularly and fight for trophies consistently. Tottenham seems like an attractive destination for him on paper. 

Playing alongside quality players at the London club and working under Thomas Frank could bring out the best in him. 

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can negotiate a deal with Crystal Palace. They will not want to lose key players this summer. Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi are already nailed on to leave the club, and they will not want to lose multiple key players in one window.
