Morata sends clear message to Galatasaray as Como wait
Alvaro Morata did not attend pre-season training with Galatasaray and sent his belongings to Madrid, as he is still waiting to get the all-clear for Como.
The striker has been in a difficult position for several weeks now, as Milan and Como have agreed his transfer, while he also accepted personal terms.
The problem is that he must first terminate his loan with Galatasaray by mutual consent and that has proved to be extremely tricky.
Morata determined to leave Galatasaray for Como
He only made the move in January for €6m with an obligation to buy for €8m in January 2026, but is eager for a return to Italy already.
The negotiations to break the agreement with Galatasaray have dragged on for far longer than anyone expected and it is starting to really frustrate the Spain international.
According to Turkish transfer pundit Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Morata refused to attend pre-season training and sent his personal belongings to Madrid.
With this in mind, the club agreed to give him extra time off without punishment, but it is a clear sign he feels his experience in Istanbul is over.
