Wee Hibees Face Sheffield United Test

Hibernian Under-19s travel south to face Sheffield United in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday 11 July.

Kick-off is at 11:30am in York, England.

The wee Hibees head into their first friendly as an Under-19s squad following their CAS Elite Under-18 League title triumph last season.

Darren McGregor's side already have minutes under their belt following three Development Squad friendlies, as well as a handful of First Team outings for some.

Tuesday evening’s friendly versus Penicuik Athletic was abandoned, with the Cuikie leading 2-1, in the second half due to an injury sustained by a Hibs trialist.

Thankfully, the player is now recovering and looking to get back on the pitch shortly.

Friday’s match sees the youngsters take on a team largely made up of Sheffield United’s Premier League U18 Professional Development League squad.

Unfortunately, Friday’s match is being played behind-closed-doors.
