No 'formal bid' for Man Utd flop despite transfer 'talks'
Manchester United are again struggling to sell their unwanted players this summer.
According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have not sent any formal bid to Man United for Jadon Sancho so far.
Talks took place between the Italian outfit and Sancho’s representatives, but Juventus confirmed that they cannot meet the player’s current wages.
It was recently revealed that the two clubs are £4 million apart in their valuation, with United demanding a fee of around £25 million.
Romano has poured cold water on those rumours and also confirmed that Sancho will have to take a pay cut to join the Serie A giants.
Sancho is arguably the first player United would want to sell if given the choice.
The 25-year-old has spent the last 1.5 years out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.
He failed to show any real improvement in his performances, raising doubts about whether he still has the skills that allowed him to break through on the global stage.
He is currently drawing a hefty paycheck of around £250,000 per week, which he does not deserve.
The Old Lady may be willing to take a bet on Sancho and help him find his lost touch, but they won’t meet the financial package United are offering him.
The England international has no future at Old Trafford after repeatedly taking aim at the club.
He took a “freedom” jibe at United, and there is no way back for him following that controversy.
The Red Devils have failed to get the best out of many signings, but Sancho is arguably their biggest flop in recent history.
His current deal with United expires next summer, which will help him walk away for free and even bag a sign-on bonus from his new club.
