Svilar set to sign Roma contract extension
The 25-year-old is reportedly set to sign his new contract this week.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Svilar will sign his contract on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Football Italia reported in June that Roma were ready to match Svilar’s wage demands.
The Belgium international’s current deal in the capital is due to expire in 2027, but his excellent performances in 2024-25 convinced the Giallorossi to offer him a new deal.
Svilar’s Roma career
Svilar kept 16 clean sheets in 38 Serie A games with Roma in the 2024-25 season, conceding just 35 times.
The 25-year-old moved to the Stadio Olimpico on a free transfer from Benfica in the summer of 2022.
He has played 56 games in Serie A, keeping 22 clean sheets and conceding 57 goals.
