Ambrosino: Celtic target’s stunning free-kick goal in latest Italy U21 game – video

0 3

Giuseppe Ambrosino scored five times in 36 Serie B appearances with Frosinone last season, but his most memorable goal was perhaps his latest match with the Italy U21 squad.

Ambrosino has emerged as a transfer target for Celtic, who have begun preliminary talks with his club, Napoli.

Ambrosino, 21, has returned from a one-season loan spell at Frosinone in Serie B and took part in the U21 European Championships with Italy last month.

The Azzurrini were controversially eliminated in the quarter-finals against Germany, but in that match, Ambrosino netted a stunning free-kick goal in the 96th minute, which allowed the Azzurrini, down to ten men, to send the game to extra time.

Ambrosino hasn’t yet played in Serie A, but has 10 goals in 83 Serie B appearances.

Below his final goal in the 2024-25 campaign, for Italy U21.
