CLUB STATEMENT: GERRY ROWE
The Royston community has been united in an outpouring of tributes for Gerry [Mr. Ice Cream] following his tragic passing at the age of 65. On behalf of everyone at Royston Town FC, I wish to echo the sentiments shared regarding a truly remarkable man. Gerry was known for his kind nature, his fun-loving spirit, and an infectious laugh that brightened every interaction.
He was a cherished figure at our club, a connection that began when our daughters, Jo and Gemma, played together during the formative years of Royston Town Ladies FC. For several years, his burger and hot dog trailer has been a permanent fixture, providing refreshments to both home and away supporters at every first-team fixture. The commencement of the new season will undoubtedly feel incomplete without his familiar, smiling face serving the renowned ‘Gerry Burger.’
Our deepest sympathies are extended to Sandra, Jo, Gavin, Glen, and all members of Gerry’s family and his extensive circle of friends from everyone at Royston Town FC. He will be greatly missed.
RIP Gerry.
