What was is like before every man and his dog were ITK, and everyone else was keeling over from the withdrawal symptoms of not being linked with anyone at any given moment?

Genuine question like

Even the early days of the internet, I'd see little to no rumours. in 2002 when we got our first home PC hooked to the internet, I'd just dial up (those funny sounds) to BCFC official website every day over the hot summer after our promotion, and one day I seen we signed Robbie Savage which was completely out of the blue for me, I almost cried of happiness because being a Leicester lad I knew just how good of a player he was.

TBF i do prefer it now, I love the transfer gossip on here, it fills the void of no football even if most of it is BS
