Video call today: UCL club ready to hold talks with United to sign 25-year-old star - Journalist

Manchester United have been active during the early phase of the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have already secured the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers playmaker Matheus Cunha.

The club have also made an improved second bid for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.

The spending spree could coincide with some departures. Jadon Sancho is one of those expected to leave soon.

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now claims that Juventus have scheduled a ‘video call’ with United today regarding Sancho.

The Bianconeri want to ‘move forward’ with the Englishman and ‘try to understand the feasibility of the operation’.

Sancho has multiple options to leave United

The 25-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan at Chelsea, where he registered five goals and 10 assists from 43 appearances across all competitions.

The London outfit turned down the opportunity to sign him permanently. They were obliged to buy for £25 million but cancelled the agreement by paying a £5m fee.

Sancho is now expected to choose another club. He has reportedly agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce. The Super Lig side have offered £164,000 per week after tax.

The big question remains whether the Bianconeri can offer such substantial wages to the versatile winger. Turkish clubs have the benefit of lower taxes, which Italian teams don’t.

It is left to be seen whether Sancho chooses a higher salary package or joins Juventus for sporting reasons. The Serie A heavyweights tried to sign him last summer too.

Galatasaray still need to qualify for the Champions League through the play-offs. Juventus are already guaranteed their spot in the league phase of the elite club competition next term.

United are prepared to sanction Sancho’s sale for less than £20m.
