£70m star pushing for Tottenham move despite Arsenal interest
Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze is reportedly pushing for a transfer to Tottenham this summer despite also being on Arsenal’s radar.
The England international enjoyed a superb 2024/25 campaign with Palace, finishing with a total of 14 goals and 11 assists, including his side’s winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Eze’s fine performances have attracted interest from a host of top clubs in the last year or so, but it now seems there are growing links with Spurs.
TBR Football suggest Tottenham are emerging as the clear favourites for Eze’s signature, despite their north London rivals Arsenal also being among his main suitors.
Eberechi Eze to choose Tottenham over Arsenal?
It seems Eze is tempted by this Tottenham project, with new manager Thomas Frank recently taking over after Ange Postecoglou’s exit.
There’s plenty of potential at Spurs, as they showed by winning the Europa League final last season, though they’ll hope Frank’s appointment can help them perform a lot better in the Premier League.
If the Danish tactician were to be able to land a talent like Eze as one of his first signings, that would undoubtedly be a huge boost.
Spurs eyeing attacking players this summer
Eze looks like just what Spurs need after last season’s disappointing form from a few of their main attacking players.
The likes of Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison haven’t been consistent enough, and Eze could prove to be a significant upgrade.
THFC have also been linked strongly with a player from Frank’s old club Brentford – Bryan Mbeumo – but he looks set to join Manchester United instead.
Eze is more than a decent alternative though, with fans likely to be delighted if his move from Palace can go through.
