Celtics Rumors: Multiple Teams Showing ‘Significant’ Interest In Jaylen Brown
Stop us if you’ve heard this before: Jaylen Brown is at the center of offseason trade rumors.
The Boston Celtics star, who always seems to have his name in headlines this time of year, is receiving “significant” trade interest, according to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.
“There are multiple teams that have significant interest in Jaylen Brown,” Charania told colleague Stephen A. Smith during “The Stephen A. Smith Show” on Tuesday.

Charania noted Brown’s contract — four years and approximately $236 million remaining — is “steep.” But with the Eastern Conference and Western Conference turning into an arm’s race, there are teams willing to pay what it takes for a four-time NBA All-Star like Brown.
The Celtics traded Jrue Holiday (Portland Trail Blazers) and Kristaps Porzingis (Atlanta Hawks) during a 24-hour span, resulting in the franchise now sitting under the second apron of the luxury tax. With that, trading Brown seems a bit more far-fetched than it did earlier this offseason.
