Draw Details: UEFA Women’s Champions League Second Qualifying Round

0 11

The 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League second qualifying round draw takes place today (Wednesday 24 June) at 1pm.

Hibernian Women enter the second qualifying round of European women’s football elite competition after winning the 2024/25 ScottishPower Women’s Premier League title.

What is the format?

Hibs Women will enter the competition at the second qualifying round in the Champions Path.

28 teams will feature in the champions path second qualifying round stage across seven mini-tournaments held in one host team’s city. 22 clubs enter directly, including Hibs, while six enter by progressing through the first qualifying round.

In each mini-tournament, four teams will face off in two one-legged semi-finals – with the two winners progressing to the final, while the two defeated teams play in a third-place play-off.

The winning team in the mini-tournament final will progress to the UEFA Women’s Champions League third qualifying round.

The runners-up and third-place play-off winners will continue to compete in European competition in the form of the inaugural 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Europa Cup, entering in the second qualifying round and first qualifying round of the new continental tournament, respectively.

The fourth-placed team will be eliminated from all European competition.
