Re: Home gym

I had some adjustable dumbbells that went up to 40kg.

I have those, they're really good, worked my way up from 36kg 8 reps to 20 reps 40kg during COVID, so ordered 2x 50kg solid dumbbells, they felt impossible at first but after a few months was pressing them like nothing, just moved to 55kg dumbbells and can do 6 reps, my aim is to get to 60kg dumbbells before my 40th next year.
It's great to walk in a standard gym and the usual highest 50kg dumbbells are too light for me.

If you care about you shoulder health you should stay away from the barbell bench press and stick with dumbbells.

for anyone middle aged who wants to gain muscle and not eff up their joints or spin I recommend this guy. good diet advice too.
