Tottenham set to make shock £50m move for West Ham United star

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting to raid their fierce rivals West Ham United for one of their star players this summer as they embark on a new season under Thomas Frank.

According to reports, Tottenham are expected to back Thomas Frank with big funds this summer as the Lilywhites aim to put together a squad that can cope with the rigours of Champions League football.

Some outlets indicate that Frank wants to prioritise strengthening Tottenham’s attack ahead of his first season in charge at N17.

It has now emerged that the Lilywhites may decide to raid their London rivals, West Ham, for a versatile attacker as they aim to send out a statement of their ambition.

Tottenham are plotting an ambitious move for Mohammed Kudus

The Guardian claim that Spurs are eyeing a sensational move to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United this summer.

The outlet points out that Tottenham Hotspur and the Hammers have not done any business since 2011, due to the bad blood between the owners of the two clubs.

However, it is alleged that Daniel Levy is now ‘prepared to bite the bullet’ and make advances towards Kudus this summer.

The Ghana international has a release clause of £85m in his contract, but Tottenham are expected to test the waters with a £50m opening offer.

Spurs also have their eyes on two more versatile attacking midfielders

Kudus would offer Thomas Frank plenty of options, given that the 24-year-old can operate as a number eight/ten or on either flank, but the Lilywhites are also eyeing two other players of a very similar profile.

It has been reported recently that Frank has approved Tottenham’s planned move for Eberechi Eze, who has a release clause of £68m in his contract with Crystal Palace.

Spurs are also one of the leading contenders to land Xavi Simons, who is expected to part ways with RB Leipzig this summer.
