Giants Bring Back Franchise Legend For Rafael Devers Introduction

The San Francisco Giants brought out the big guns for Rafael Devers’ introductory press conference on Tuesday.

Barry Bonds, MLB’s all-time leader in home runs and the person many people believe to be the greatest player of all time, was front and center during the press conference, according to Chris Cotillo of MassLive. The Giant shared a photo of the two left-handed sluggers along with some other snapshots of their latest addition with his new teammates.

San Francisco’s entire roster was on hand for the monumental moment, according to broadcaster Dave Flemming.

Devers was acquired in a shocking trade on Sunday, bringing an end to a months-long saga in which he appeared to be at a wits end over Boston’s desire to change his position starting in the offseason and leading all the way into June.
