Wolves star Nelson Semedo is looking favourably at a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, where he will get a chance to play under Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese star is running out of contract at Molineux and will be a free agent at the end of this month; Wolves have been keen to keep him.

The club have made him a new contract offer, but he has yet to sign on the dotted line and could well head elsewhere to play his football.

In the meantime, the 31-year-old has started to draw interest from clubs outside England.

In France, Marseille are keen on getting him in their ranks, but they have competition from Turkey.

Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, who came up short of expectations, losing the league title to bitter rivals Galatasaray, have kept his profile in check.

Their primary target for the right-back position is Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker, who is also wanted by Everton.

However, failure to lure Walker to Turkey will take them to Semedo.

According to Turkish outlet Fener Habers, the player on his part, is ‘looking favourably’ at a move to Fenerbahce.

The chance to play under his countryman Mourinho could also be an attractive proposition.

It now remains to be seen what the future holds for the 31-year-old, who moved to Wolves from Barcelona in 2020.

A chance of staying put at his current club is not being ruled out as well.

Mourinho is also looking at Nice forward Evann Guessand, who is a player liked by Everton manager David Moyes.

Even Wolves are on his heels and are suggested to have lodged an offer for him.

The Portuguese manager wants to steal a move and has held a Zoom meeting with the player.
