Tottenham still likely to cash in on 28-year-old despite Thomas Frank arrival
One senior Tottenham star, who started the Europa League final in Bilbao, is likely to be sold by the club this summer ahead of the new era under Thomas Frank.
The Danish coach will be an extremely busy man this summer as he has several issues to iron out before his first season in charge of Tottenham Hotspur.
The future of the Tottenham captain is still up in the air, with Heung-min Son set to meet with Frank before deciding whether to leave Spurs.
There is also a big question mark over the club’s vice-captain and star centre-back, with Cristian Romero potentially on his way out of Tottenham.
Tottenham likely to cash in on Richarlison this summer
The Mirror have now claimed that while Frank will be given money to spend, he will also oversee a few player sales this summer as he looks to rebuild the squad.
One of those for whom the Dane is likely to green light an exit is Richarlison, with the club feeling that he has failed to live up to expectations in the three seasons since his £60m move from Everton.
The outlet suggests that a return to the Toffees might be on the cards for the Brazilian this summer ahead of the Merseyside club’s first season in their stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
What does Richarlison want to do this summer?
It was revealed by journalist Ben Jacobs a little over a week ago that Richarlison wants to leave Tottenham in search of regular game time this summer.
However, Jacobs admitted that he had not heard anything of Everton’s interest and suggested that the Brazilian striker might have to leave the Premier League.
Some sources have suggested that Richarlison could move to Fenerbahce to unite with former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
