Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has suggested that he’s been open about wanting the Gunners to sign his Brazilian teammate Rodrygo Goes.
The Real Madrid forward, who can play up front or out wide on either flank, has been the subject of some transfer news reports in recent times that suggest he could be available in this window.
Gabriel is clearly a big fan of Rodrygo, as he spoke to Podpah Podcast about the Madrid ace, making it clear he’d sign him for Arsenal if it were up to him.
It seems Gabriel is also strongly hinting he’s already spoken to people at Arsenal about the possibility of making a move for Rodrygo.

When asked about Rodrygo and Arsenal, Gabriel said: “I don’t (know). No, I don’t, not really. But I’d like obviously.
“Rodrygo is a phenomenon, for me. He’s not at Arsenal… If it depended on me, I’ve told people already, he’s a phenomenon.
“His name is mentioned a lot. If it was up to me, of course.”
This follows the Independent reporting yesterday that Rodrygo could be available due to not being the right tactical fit for new Real manager Xabi Alonso.

Meanwhile, the reliable Fabrizio Romano has also admitted via his YouTube channel that there is interest from Arsenal, even if it’s nothing advanced just yet.
“Rodrygo is a player appreciated by Arsenal. There are no doubts about that,” he said recently.
“For sure he’s a player they like. For sure Arsenal will add an important winger this season to the squad. So Arsenal will be busy in the next weeks, the striker, the winger. So it’s going to be an important window for Arsenal. We all know that.
“Rodrygo is a player they like internally. I would say of course a great player, a top top player. But at the moment, my understanding is that Real Madrid are yet to receive any official approach, official talks, bid or whatever.
“At the moment is an internal appreciation for Rodrygo, but Real Madrid are yet to receive any formal proposal or any formal approach.
“Let’s see what Arsenal will decide to do. Probably will also depend on the budget. How much they have to spend on the winger. This is going to be important.”
