Josh McCormick makes the switch to Poole!

0 13

McCormick started his career at Winchester after coming through the youth ranks.

The right-sided defender had spells with Backfield & Langley and lifted the Sussex Senior Cup with Bognor Regis but has spent the majority of his career with the Citizens.

Over the last three seasons, McCormick has been a consistent performer, making 124 appearances and has all the attributes of an attacking full back whilst being defensively resolute.

Everyone at Poole Town welcomes Josh to the club for the upcoming campaign.

On signing for Poole, McCormick said: “I’m really happy to sign for Poole Town, it’s a great club with a strong history amongst non-league and very passionate supporters.”

He added: “I’m really excited for the opportunity and ready to give everything for the team and the fans.”

Joint manager Pat Suraci said: “Josh is someone who we have always liked at Winchester, he has a real desire to win and shows that in the way he plays.”

Suraci added: “We really believe he will suit the football we want to play, and we’re excited to see how he fits into the squad that we’re building.”
