Staff update – Jorge Pismante

0 5

QUEEN’S PARK FC is pleased to announce the arrival of Jorge Pismante as head physiotherapist at the club.

Based at the training complex at Lochinch, Jorge began work this week ahead of the return of the playing squad for pre-season next week.

He takes over from interim physio and head of medicine Stuart Collie, who assumed the role last season following the departure of long-serving Euan Duffy.

Jorge joins the Spiders on the back of previous work in football and trained alongside experts who work with the Argentinian national team and Boca Juniors.

He said: “I have more than ten years of experience in physiotherapy with a strong background in football medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.

“I worked as Lead Physiotherapist at Cumbernauld Colts FC, where I played a key role in keeping players fit, available, and performing at their best. I focused on creating rehab plans that are based on the latest evidence to each player’s needs, helping them return to play safely and confidently.

“I hold a Postgraduate in Sports Traumatology Physiotherapy, delivered by professionals from elite clubs like the Argentina National Team and Boca Juniors FC.

“I also specialise in running gait biomechanical analysis, adding an extra layer of insight when managing and preventing injuries.

“I am passionate about supporting players both physically and mentally through their recovery journeys, and I believe in working closely with coaches and staff to maintain a high-performance environment across the club.”

Jorge is already on-site in preparation for the return of the playing staff for pre-season training.

Welcome to the Spiders, Jorge!
