Tottenham may have one key advantage in the race for Leroy Sane

Tottenham Hotspur are battling two of their London rivals for Leroy Sane’s signature, and the Lilywhites might have one major advantage in the race for the Bayern Munich star’s services.

It emerged earlier this week Spurs were looking to land Sane on a free transfer after the winger’s contract negotiations with Bayern hit a stumbling block.

According to updates from Germany, Tottenham are pushing the hardest to sign Sane as the former Manchester City man is considering cutting his ties with the Bavarian club.

It was reported a couple of days ago that Arsenal may challenge Spurs for Sane’s signature, and Bild previously claimed that Chelsea also have their eye on the winger.

Christian Falk has now informed CF Bayern Insider that Tottenham Hotspur hold the most ‘concrete’ interest in the pacy 29-year-old.

The journalist claims that the Lilywhites have shown a greater desire to land Sane than either the Gunners or the Blues after the player expressed a desire to move to London to live with his family, who reside in the city.

Falk asserts that if Spurs are successful in their pursuit of Sane, they are unlikely to consider a permanent move for Tel.

That would not upset the Spurs fans too much, with many Tottenham supporters not convinced about Tel after he failed to pull up any trees during his loan spell.

It has been widely reported over the last month that Spurs want to sign Tel on a discounted deal as they do not want to activate the £45m option to buy the forward.
