Tottenham Hotspur will play in the UEFA Super Cup – all you need to know

0 2

Tottenham Hotspur will play in the UEFA Super Cup later this year after their Europa League triumph, and here is all you need to know ahead of the final.

The night under the lights in Spain at the San Mames Stadium will live long in the memories of Tottenham Hotspur supporters who witnessed their side lift a European trophy for the first time in 41 years.

A narrow but deserved 1-0 win over fellow English side Manchester United was enough for Ange Postecoglou’s men, who finally ended a 17-year trophy drought by clinching the UEFA Europa League.

Tottenham have now also secured a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, despite their poor showing in the Premier League, where they currently sit 17th – though that will matter little to the Lilywhites faithful who have waited decades for a night like this.

Tottenham set for UEFA Super Cup fixture after Europa League win

Spurs could make it two trophies before the start of next season, as they are now eligible to compete in the UEFA Super Cup following their Europa League success.

Their opponent will be either Inter Milan or Paris Saint Germain, with both clubs set to face off in the Champions League final later this month.

Details for the upcoming Super Cup final have now surfaced, including the venue and early information regarding ticket prices.

The 2025 UEFA Super Cup final will take place on Wednesday, 13 August, at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, located in North-Eastern Italy – a compact 15,144-capacity ground which serves as the home of Serie A side Udinese Calcio.

The official ticket prices for the Super Cup final have yet to be confirmed by UEFA, but last year’s figures provide a useful guide for Tottenham supporters who may be planning a trip to Italy.

Prices from last year’s edition were as follows:

Although ticket prices do not usually change drastically year to year, it is advised that fans use these figures as a rough estimate until UEFA formally announces the 2025 pricing structure and opens up the sales window once the two finalists are confirmed.
