Patriots Insider Claims Team Already Impressed With These Two Rookies

The New England Patriots haven’t had nearly enough time to fully evaluate their rookie class, hosting just a handful of workouts to this point in the offseason.

Will Campbell and Craig Woodson have still found ways to impress, however.

NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry pointed toward that duo as the most impressive during rookie minicamp earlier this month, citing sources within the walls at One Patriot Place.

Campbell, the fourth overall pick in April, is an unsurprising standout. Woodson, however, has done nothing but surprise as he was selected much earlier than anticipated by industry experts and quickly asserted himself as a vocal leader among the rookie class.

“(The Patriots) love his football IQ, they love his movement skills,” Perry said on “The Patriots Talk Podcast.”

New England began team-wide workouts this week, which include sessions where media will be present. Campbell and Woodson impressed with their fellow rookies, and now it’s time to see if they can continue to in the presence of veterans and onlookers.
