Re: Blues U21s Released Players
Nikola ZigicIt wasn't even that ridiculous. People sneer at the Junior Dixon stuff without actually listening to what people are saying.
We had Scott Hogan on the bench who looked absolutely bereft of confidence and ability, yet a kid who was scoring goals couldn't even get a handful of minutes.
I'm dying on the hill that by that point he'd have been a better option than Hogan by that point.
It wasn't that he should start, it wasn't that he was going to score loads of goals, it's that he'd have more confidence than a crap Hogan.
The facts are that Hogan and Dixon have both scored 7 times this season.
Hogan in 30 games Dixon in 40 games.
Hogan in a struggling League 2 side, Dixon in a successful National League South side - i.e. playing in a predominantly semi pro league.
These facts suggest that any manager backing Hogan over Dixon was right to do so.
