Patriots Rumors: New England Adds Two Players After Tryouts
The Patriots reportedly have made a pair of roster additions.
New England is signing defensive tackle Isaiah Iton and offensive guard Mehki Butler, according to a report from MassLive’s Mark Daniels on Monday. Both players were in Foxboro, Mass., on a tryout basis for rookie minicamp.
Iton landed with the Tennessee Titans practice squad last season after he went undrafted in 2024. The 6-foot-2, 294-pound defensive lineman overlapped with Patriots defensive line coach Clint McMillan when they were both in Tennessee.
Butler went undrafted this year. He started his collegiate career at Iowa Western Community College, where he was named a NJCAA First Team All-American, before he concluded at Arkansas State, where he carved out a role at left guard.
