Hunter: Nowhere Else I'd Rather Be

Siobhan Hunter states “there is nowhere else I’d rather be” after committing her future to Hibernian Women.

The 31-year-old, who has been ever-present for the Hibees this season, has signed a two-year contract extension with the Club.

Speaking to HibsTV, ‘Shiv’ expressed her excitement at continuing her time with her childhood club.

“I’m hugely delighted. Obviously, being a Hibs fan, for a lot of girls, it's a dream to play for the Club. To get an extra two years, I'm so happy and I can't wait for the next two years.

“The staff here are excellent, the group of girls we've got are excellent as well. You can't go away from the Club at any point.

“My dream is to be here and stay here. There is nowhere else I'd rather be.”

The experienced centre-back has made 322 Hibernian appearances across 13 years of senior football – the highest total within the current squad.

Those outings have led to eight domestic cup trophy lifts in Green & White, and the defender hopes there are more successes to come as the team strive for greatness.

“I’m very, very proud. I've said it before, I think I would have been fine with one First Team game.

“But to have that many is really special to me and my family, and hopefully there are many more to come.

“Every year it seems to be getting better. The Club right now is in a real good stage and everyone wants to be a part of that.

“The progression has been massive but there's still a long way to go. We're pushing every single day, every single week to be better.”
