‘I’d like to play in…’ - Lamine Yamal reveals his Man Utd Old Trafford dream

Manchester United are one of the biggest teams in the world despite their current domestic struggles, and they boast an iconic stadium in Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will hope to win the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur and qualify for the Champions League next season to boost their chances of attracting some of the biggest players during the summer transfer window.

Plenty of players dream of playing for Man United but some just want to play at Old Trafford during their career, and Barcelona whizkid Lamine Yama is among the latter.

The Spain international attacker recently revealed he would love to play at the famous ground soon having never done so, and he could get his wish next season if the Red Devils win the Europa League.

“There are so many I’ve yet to experience, especially outside of Europe,” the 17-year-old replied when asked which stadium he has never played in but would love to.

“In Europe, some of the iconic ones I’d like to play in are Old Trafford and Anfield.”

The iconic ground is a football monument and Man United fans are hoping co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe opts to renovate it instead of demolishing it and moving the team to a newly-built stadium.

While visiting teams are no longer nervous about playing there, it remains a great place and a great team will make it a fortress once again.

The Red Devils have struggled since 2013 and are set to finish this term in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Winning the Europa League will be the only positive from the 2024-25 campaign, and Old Trafford will be hosting some of the biggest teams and players in Europe next term if that happens.

Yamal could get his wish Barca and Man United get to face each other in the league phase of the Champions League, and attracting players with huge potential like his is possible if they start challenging for the Premier League title again like they constantly did under Sir Alex Ferguson.
