Red Sox Vs. Twins Lineups: Minor Changes After Triston Casas Injury
The Red Sox are looking to secure a series victory on Saturday, as they play the middle of a three-game set with the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park.
Romy Gonzalez will make his first start as the everyday first baseman following Triston Casas’ injury.
Casas went down with an injury during Friday’s series-opening victory at Fenway Park. Boston confirmed the extent pregame, placing the first baseman on the injured list with a left patellar tendon rupture. Abraham Toro was recalled to replace him on the roster and will be on the bench for the matinee matchup
Red Sox manager Alex Cora kept the other members of the lineup the same.
The Sox and Twins are scheduled to take the field at 4:10 p.m. ET. NESN will have full coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET.
