Tottenham hatch sale plan amidst Saudi interest in out-of-favour midfielder

0 0

A new report has shed light on Tottenham’s plans for Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur, with one of them now the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League ahead of the summer transfer window.

The midfield department was neglected by Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window, and one would thus expect reinforcements in the position to be prioritised by the club in the summer.

Over recent weeks, it has been widely reported that Spurs are looking to tie down Rodrigo Bentancur to a new contract.

However, it has been suggested that Yves Bissouma has been deemed surplus to requirements at Tottenham and is expected to be offloaded this summer.

Tottenham’s plans regarding midfield trio revealed

TBR Football have now claimed that Spurs have started actively working on offloading Bissouma and are currently busy at work finding potential destinations for the former Brighton man.

It is revealed that the Mali international is now attracting plenty of interest from the Saudi Pro League ahead of the summer.

Additionally, clubs from Spain and Italy are also allegedly keeping a close eye on the 28-year-old’s situation as we edge closer to the transfer window.

The outlet says that, unlike Bissouma, Spurs have not made a final decision on the futures of Bentancur and Sarr. It is explained that their futures could depend on the new manager who arrives through the door at Tottenham this summer.

Rodrigo Bentancur is attracting plenty of transfer interest

With the experienced Uruguayan now into the final year of his contract, it looks like he is featuring on the summer wishlist of several clubs across the continent.

It first emerged last week that Atletico Madrid have also set their sights on Rodrigo Bentancur ahead of the summer window.

Just a couple of days ago, another source claimed that Atletico have been joined by several European clubs in the race for Bentancur, with many of them ready to pounce on the midfielder if Spurs are unable to tie him down to a new contract.
