Tottenham’s ranking of assists this season makes interesting reading
Tottenham have struggled for consistency all season, but when it comes to assists, a few players have managed to step up. Let’s meet the club’s top creators in all competitions this campaign.
For all of Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles this season, the Lilywhites have managed to score goals on a regular and consistent basis.
In the Premier League, Tottenham have notched 62 goals, the fifth most of any other side. Of course, goals alone have not been enough, with the Lilywhites sitting in 16th place in the league table, currently nine spots lower than Ange Postecoglou’s final position in his first season.
But as much as goal scorers are crucial, those who create the chances are just as important. Let’s take a closer look at Tottenham’s leading assist makers this season.
Heung-min Son and James Maddison lead the way for Tottenham in assists
So far this season, a fair few players have offered a creative spark and flair for Spurs. At the top of that list is Heung-min Son, who, despite struggling for consistency, has remained the club’s most creative outlet, providing 11 assists in all competitions.
In joint second, we find Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison, who have both contributed ten assists apiece across all competitions.
Rounding off the top five are Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro, who have each chipped in with eight assists – not bad at all, especially considering Porro has done so from full-back.
Here is how Tottenham’s assists rankings shape up:
