Football Legend Offers Hope to Shedeur Sanders
A football legend's post offers hope to Shedeur Sanders.
As Sanders remains undrafted going into April 26, icon Brett Favre took to X to remind everyone that he wasn't exactly a top draft pick either.
Although Favre did not explicitly mention Sanders in the post, the timing seemed obvious to fans.
"Heck I didn’t care when I got drafted," the former Green Bay Packers QB wrote on X on April 25, 2025. He shared two photos showing him getting a phone call.
The post on the evening of April 25 came after news that Sanders had been passed over again in the NFL Draft in Green Bay.
"I just wanted a team to give me a chance wherever I went. It’s what you do when your # is called that matters, not when you were taken. On top of that, the team that drafted me didn’t even want me #NFLDraft," Favre wrote.

Favre followed that post with another one showing him without a shirt years ago.
"Round 2 Overall Pick 33. Probably should’ve done a few push ups before this pre-draft pic," he wrote with a laughing emoji.
Some fans focused more on the dated images in the throwback photos that Favre shared than the content of his message.

"Is that a Nintendo controller in your hand?" wrote one.
However, one wrote, "So in other words you had, what used to be considered, a normal attitude? Maybe because your awesome dad didn’t fill your head with an entitlement outlook on life."
Some fans have criticized Sanders' dad and former coach Deion Sanders.
