Patriots Rumors: New England Made Significant Move Before Draft

The Patriots might have all but confirmed who they’ll pick at No. 4 on Thursday.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, New England traveled to Louisiana in recent days to visit with Will Campbell. The LSU product is viewed as the favorite to go fourth overall, and the visit in the final week of the draft might have been the finishing touches before the Patriots are on the clock.

The first four picks of the 2025 NFL Draft are expected to be Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter and Campbell, with Hunter and Carter interchangeable between No. 2 and No. 3. It’s believed by draft experts and NFL insiders that the draft officially starts at No. 5 because of that projected consensus.

New England reportedly discussed trading back. However, there aren’t many prospects worth trading up for.

Things always can change leading up to the draft, but Campbell is expected to be the name called when the Patriots are on the clock Thursday night.
